The first thing you’ll notice about me is my ability to move seamlessly between right and left brain conversations. With a foundation in English Literature, rigorous problem-solving training at McKinsey, and gaining entrepreneurial muscle at Wishberry, I’ve spent 2 decades navigating art, tech, and commerce.
I went on to build Wishberry, India’s first crowdfunding platform for creative artists and a $5M company backed by some of the topmost angel investors of India. Wishberry helped 600+ artists raise over ₹16 crore from 1,00,000+ supporters worldwide. I also launched Wishberry Films, a private-equity-driven indie studio that produced award-winning films backed by 50+ investors, finding homes on Netflix, SonyLIV, Amazon Prime, and world premieres at Venice, MAMI and Tribeca.
While straddling the dynamic worlds of storytelling and venture building, I found my calling – improving the quality of storytelling in India and imparting knowledge on film producing. And this led me to start my two next ventures – The Writers INK Institute and Independent Spirit Media.
As an entrepreneur and a film producer, I can whip up a business plan and also give you feedback on your script with the precision of a storyteller. (And no, I won’t use AI)
The Writers INK Institute is India’s premium storytelling institute that runs its 6-month Annual Feature Film Screenwriting Lab, where aspiring screenwriters & filmmakers in India are taught the fundamentals of screenwriting by a global faculty to help them develop their stories into fully-developed screenplays. The Lab culminates into a Pitchfest where participants present their ideas to film industry professionals and the winner also receives a grant of Rs. 10 Lakhs.

Independent Spirit is an upcoming platform, which aims to build and empower the next 100 independent film producers in India through its flagship program – ‘Indie Spirit Producers Lab’. The program will teach practical skills like creative producing, fundraising, navigating co-production, marketing and distributing films to upcoming producers so they can acquire the tools to back bold stories and put India on the storytelling map of the world.
